Sorry for the lack of music, I'm still fixing out the bugs in my new movie maker program. A quick video I did of me coloring my dragon character's new design. I recorded this using my new hypercam for my Macbook, so tell me how it is, I'm new to this, haha. Anyway, I drew the outline by hand with pencil and scanned it in; that's why I didn't show me drawing the actual outline. Although, I have more videos of my drawing dragons, so if you want, check out my channel for more. FAQ's Q. What program/computer do you use to draw? A. I use Photoshop Elements 3, on my Macbook Pro laptop. I also use a mix of my Wacom Intuos Tablet and my touchpad for the actual drawing. Q. How long did this take you to complete? A. The pencil sketch took about 5 to 10 minutes, probably around 8 minutes. The coloring/shading/background itself (what you see in this video) took just under an hour. So about an hour and 10 minutes overall! Q. How did you learn to draw and shade like that? A. I'm self-taught, I learn through experience. I've been using Photoshop Elements since 5 years ago, so I know the program in and out. I've been drawing for over 16 years, too, which has helped a lot. All I can say is, practice makes perfect! =D Q. How do you shade like that? A. I use the Burn and Dodge tools on Photoshop. Very handy tools for shading, and you can change them so the shaded/highlighted colors are bright, medium, or dull. If you have Photoshop, I definitely suggest using them. This is a second way of creating an High Dynamic Range image using only one image. Photomatix Pro is an amazing photo editing program has alots of features and it's probably the best program for creating an HDR image. Although both HDR videos demonstrate that it's possible to create HDR pictures with one photo we still sugest using 3 photos done with a camera on a tripod.
